Following are commonly asked questions about our practice.
Yes. We happily welcome new patients to our office.
Our doctors provide a wide range of dental services. Dr. Maes and Dr. Sealey are skilled in providing routine dental procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, root canals, extractions, and pediatric procedures. Both doctors have completed continuing education programs in cosmetic and implant dentistry. In addition, Dr. Maes has completed extensive continuing education programs which allow him to do complicated cosmetic cases, difficult implant restorations, and full mouth reconstructions. We also have a dedicated group of hygienists who are up to date in the latest preventive procedures. We offer routine cleanings, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing (deep cleanings) as well as many adjunctive hygiene procedures.
We accept nearly all types of dental insurance. We will electronically file the claims for you, follow up on all claims and assist you with any insurance questions or issues that you may have. We will file for predetermination benefits at your request.
We have many patients in our practice with different types of insurance, and many patients without any dental insurance. In order to provide the same high standard of care to all of our patients, we have decided not to join any dental insurance networks. We strive to offer the best materials, procedures and services in our practice. Our doctors place a high emphasis on continuing education and quality of care. We find we can better meet our patients’ needs without being network providers. The fee constraints imposed by network administrators make it impossible for us to deliver the quality of care we demand for our patients. This does not mean that we are unaware of the importance of keeping our fees at affordable levels. It is very important to us to offer competitive fees that reflect the quality of care we offer. The most expensive dentistry is dentistry that has to be redone due to deficiencies in materials, technique or simply because the demands of a network provider system do not allow the practitioner to spend adequate time with the patient. We are dedicated to providing dentistry that will offer the greatest levels of longevity, predictability and longterm affordability.
We see patients of all ages. Dr. Sealey truly enjoys seeing children, and she treats most of our younger people. We have several assistants with extensive pediatric experience who really love to help our kids get the dental care they need.
We understand that having dental work can be an intimidating process for many people. At South Hills Dental, we strive to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Nitrous oxide (Laughing gas) and conscious sedation (comfort pills) are available to help relieve anxiety. Several IPods preloaded with different types of music and stereo headphones are on hand to listen to during your appointment. A heated blanket warmer insures that warm blankets will be always be available, and our staff is dedicated to making your visit as pleasant as possible.
Both doctors are members of the Montana Study Club and the Capital City Study Club.
